ABOUT WENDI
A picture is worth a thousand words, and for Wendi Johnson, nothing is truer. This professional photographer and former model has spent 15 years working on both sides of the lens. She prides herself on getting the best shots by patiently working with her clients and bringing a creative, dramatic eye to her art. She has photographed for Linda Layman Agency, Fireside Talents and Jonathan Martin Creative. Her subjects include children, seniors, families, fashion models, commercials and more.
“To take truly great photos you have to be comfortable with the photographer and encouraged out of your shell,” Wendi says. “Most of all, you have to have a good time…it will show on your face.”
Wendi’s journey from model to photographer began in 1985, when she captured the title of Iowa Miss TEEN. Her modeling career took off, transporting her to Des Moines, Dallas, Paris—where she walked the catwalks for fashion week—and New York, where she landed the cover of Women’s World magazine.
